Job description

Pendulum Physio is a modern sports medicine and rehabilitation clinic specialising in evidence-based musculoskeletal physiotherapy, strength and conditioning, and athlete performance development. The role involves delivering high-quality physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, and rehabilitation programmes for a diverse caseload including: Musculoskeletal injuries Sports injuries Post-operative rehabilitation Performance optimisation Persistent pain conditions. Clinicians are expected to integrate exercise-based rehabilitation, objective testing, and patient education into all treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough musculoskeletal assessments and clinical examinations and formulate evidence-based diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Deliver structured rehabilitation programmes focusing on exercise therapy, strength and conditioning and progressive load.
  • Prescribe strength and conditioning programmes appropriate to the patient’s stage of recovery.
  • Guide patients from pain reduction - rehabilitation - return to sport/performance.
  • Utilise clinic technology including force-plate testing.
  • Deliver a high-quality patient experience at every interaction.
  • Communicate clearly with patients regarding diagnosis, prognosis, and rehabilitation timelines.
  • Encourage patient adherence and engagement with rehabilitation programmes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical notes using clinic management software.
  • Operate within HCPC and CSP professional standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with GDPR and clinical governance policies.
  • Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and internal CPD.
  • Contribute to a positive, professional clinic environment.
  • Support the development of Pendulum Physio’s reputation within the local sports and healthcare community.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
  • Professional indemnity insurance.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in private practice physiotherapy.
  • Experience working with sports teams or athletes.
  • Strength and conditioning qualifications (e.g., UKSCA, CSCS).
  • Experience using performance testing technology (force plates, jump testing, etc.).
