Job description

The role provides leadership, strategic oversight, and organisational alignment across the church, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the church’s vision and mission are effectively implemented and sustained.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in providing senior leadership within an organisation, including within a church or charity context.
• Demonstrated ability to lead organisations through periods of transition, growth, or change, ensuring stability, clarity, and good governance.
• Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop staff teams in line with organisational values and best practice.
• Strong coaching and mentoring capability, with experience in developing leaders and building leadership capacity.
• Ability to develop and implement vision-led strategy that supports the charitable objectives and mission of the church.
• Demonstrated ability to preach and communicate effectively within a church setting.
• Sound biblical knowledge with the ability to teach God’s Word clearly, faithfully, and appropriately.
• Clear understanding of, and commitment to, the City and the North West, with a heart for local mission and community engagement.
• Experience in supporting, leading, and facilitating meetings and fellowship settings, including working with senior leadership, trustees, or elders where appropriate.

Desirable Skills

• Full UK driving licence
