Job description
The DP role we are recruiting for is the Head of Intelligence. The role, outlined in this booklet, is demanding but rewarding too. You will play an important part in delivering our business objectives and contributing to the success of our overarching purpose to develop and implement policies and help deliver services to the public. Responsibilities
- Oversee research and development of information/intelligence to support ECU/NIEA investigations.
- Support Head of Unit to maximise the development, efficiency, and delivery of an effective intelligence service across NIEA.
- When required assist Head of Unit to give presentations to other agencies on role and function of Intelligence Unit/ECU.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Hold an Intelligence Professionalisation Programme (IPP) certification.
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of effective leadership, setting strategic direction and managing resources to successfully deliver business objectives in a complex and changing environment.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience of building constructive, positive and collaborative partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior management, to effectively deliver significant organisational objectives.
- Have a full valid driving licence which permits the licence holder to drive in Northern Ireland and/or have access to a form of transport that allows the officer to fulfil their duties in full.
