Job description

We are seeking a caring and reliable Personal Assistant to support an individual who requires assistance due to a medical condition. The successful candidate will help the individual maintain independence and improve their quality of life within their own home. Hours are flexible and will be discussed with the employer following interview. Availability is required Monday to Friday with occasional weekend support when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with household tasks and general domestic duties
• Prompt, assist and supervise with meal preparation and provide support during mealtimes
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Monitor the individual's health and wellbeing and report any changes or concerns to the employer
• Ensure the environment remains safe by identifying and addressing any potential hazards or risks

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Able to demonstrate a compassionate and empathetic approach towards individuals who require support
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of the individual and schedule

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience or relevant qualifications in healthcare, social care or a related field would be beneficial
• Access to a vehicle would be preferable but is not essential
