Recreation Attendant


Job description

As part of a team contribute to the provision of an efficient and effective leisure service. Ensure highest standards of customer service within a safe and welcoming environment. Carry out duties as directed, including cleaning, event/activity setup/takedowns and supervision and reception duties.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest possible standards of safety, including the protection of children and vulnerable adults, through alert supervision in accordance with Council and Leisure Centre policies and procedures.
  • Respond to and assist with all emergency situations and evacuations within the Leisure Centre in compliance with Councils Health and Safety procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of customers and staff.
  • Perform all duties and assist customers in a manner that ensures high standards of customer care.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • 6 months’ experience of working within a wet or dry leisure facility e.g. outdoor sports pitches, leisure centre, recreation centre, private fitness club or other sport/leisure organisation.
  • 6 months’ experience of dealing with the public in a customer service environment.

Desirable Skills

  • 12 months’ experience of working within a wet or dry leisure facility e.g. outdoor sports pitches, leisure centre, recreation centre, private fitness club or other sport/leisure organisation.
  • 12 months’ experience dealing with the public in a customer service environment.
