Events Catering Assistant


Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: FALLS COMMUNITY COUNCIL As an Event Catering Assistant you will serve food and drinks to event attendees, as well as various other tasks related to food preparation and hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitising of all tableware before catering events.
  • Loading and unloading food, tableware and catering supplies on and of catering vehicles.
  • Food and drinks service.
  • Assist with the preparation of dining areas.
  • Disposal of food waste in line with working protocols.
  • At the end of events: removing dishes and loading dish washers.
  • Emptying dish washers and storing dishes and cutlery in designated cupboards and drawers.
  • Cleaning of kitchen appliances.
  • Open to training progression both in house on off site.
  • Engage in work place mentoring.
  • Maintain a clean working environment.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Teamwork skills.
  • Ability and willingness to listen and take instruction.
  • Communication skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience as a catering assistant or similar position.
  • Hospitality skills.
