End of Belt Assistant
Job description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Central Belt Production Operative to join our production team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting shelling and peeling operations, ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and health & safety compliance. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow procedures accurately, and a proactive approach to supporting the wider production team.
Responsibilities
- Comply with all Food Safety, Health & Safety policies, and procedures.
- Support the Central Belt Area Team Leader in resolving operational issues, managing problems, and assisting with investigations where required.
- Prepare and set up equipment and ingredients prior to shelling operations, including: Setting tare on scales,Preparing grey trays, Preparing phosphate or brine solutions, Replenishing materials with trolleys throughout the shift.
- Maintain accurate records by completing the Peeling Production Record (in the absence of the Central Belt Area Team Leader), including: Prawn tails and prawn meat volumes ,Production recipes used, Equipment breakdowns, Staff movement, Quality issues.
- Monitor and report quality concerns, including changes in meat quality, odour, or roe levels, to the Central Belt Area Team Leader, Quality Department, or Production/Shift Managers.
- Report any accidents or incidents immediately to the Central Belt Area Team Leader.
