Job description

The post holder will support and monitor patients with rheumatology conditions to include those patients being assessed for biological therapies. The post holder will be required to act as a link with the primary and secondary care setting and provide a source of specialist knowledge and clinical skills enabling through various agencies, appropriate care and support for the patients, their families and carers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients’ wellbeing and give support.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment effects and side effects and initiate management strategy plans within agreed protocols.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC register (General Adult Branch).

Desirable Skills

• 6 months experience in the last 3 years working with patients with Rheumatological conditions in an Acute setting.
• Be in possession of a degree in a Health related subject.
