Job description

Ensure that all religious activities are carried out at the scheduled time and sanctified manner. Help with the Temple committee to serve the devotees / congregation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the deities and the altars are clean and tidy at all times. This includes the polishing of the metal deities, disposal of all used flowers, arranging the deities’ clothing in the appropriate cupboards, washing of wet towels, etc.
• Direct all requests by devotees for special Pooja (prayers), Abhisheka, and Hawan to the Temple committee.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Recognised training obtained from a registered institution which is acceptable to the temple committee, in the Hindu Vedas and Agamas to enable the carrying out of the Religious Workers duties.
• All job applicants will needs to provide documentation, which demonstrates their eligibility to work in the UK.

Desirable Skills

• Possession of a valid UK driving licence.
