Production Supervisor - Fabrication
Job description
The Production Supervisor - Fabrication will lead day-to-day fabrication activity, ensuring work flows efficiently, weld quality remains to standard, staff are properly trained and jigs and fixtures are used effectively to deliver safe, accurate and consistent output.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily fabrication operations and support safe, efficient achievement of production targets.
- Plan, monitor and improve workflows to reduce downtime and maintain steady output.
- Maintain weld quality standards and ensure completed work meets company requirements.
- Inspect fabrication work and address issues relating to quality, fit-up, accuracy and consistency.
- Train, coach and support fabrication employees to build skills and improve performance.
- Assist with onboarding and mentoring new team members within the fabrication area.
- Oversee the correct setup, use and upkeep of jigs and fixtures to ensure repeatability and accuracy.
- Work closely with management and production teams to solve problems and support continuous improvement.
- Promote good housekeeping, equipment care and strong health and safety practices throughout the department.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- The ideal candidate will have fabrication or manufacturing experience, a strong understanding of welding quality, practical knowledge of production workflows and the ability to lead by example in a hands-on environment.
