Administrative Assistant

THE EMPLOYER IS: SEW READY CIC We are looking for an organised and reliable Admin Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our not-for-profit studio. This role is central to keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes and supporting our programmes, team, and community. As Admin Assistant, you’ll provide essential administrative support across the organisation. You’ll manage enquiries, support bookings and schedules, and help ensure systems and records are well organised. This is a studio-based role with regular interaction with staff, participants, and community members. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, clear communication, and working in a creative, people-focused environment. Responsibilities
- Managing emails, enquiries, and general correspondence.
- Supporting bookings, registers, and schedules.
- Handling payments, basic invoicing, and admin systems.
- Maintaining accurate records and filing systems.
- Supporting the team with day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Assisting with studio organisation and office procedures.
- Acting as a professional and welcoming point of contact.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Previous administrative experience is essential.
- Organisational skills.
- Confident using email, booking systems, and basic digital tools.
- Comfortable communicating with the public.
- Able to manage tasks independently and prioritise effectively.
Desirable Skills
- An interest in community, creativity, or not-for-profit work is a bonus.
