Job description

To ensure that the Kitchen is kept to the highest standards of cleanliness at all times The main purpose of the job is to support and assist the Chefs to maintain a safe and clean environment for all staff.

Responsibilities

• The cleanliness of the whole kitchen and area associated to it.
• All items of equipment to be washed and cleaned according to manual.
• All crockery to be washed as on cleaning manual.
• A knowledge of cleaning products, detergents and chemicals used.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Experience of working in a busy kitchen.

Desirable Skills

• Kitchen Porter experience.
