THE EMPLOYER IS: CAMLOUGH COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION Due to the continued growth and success of Camlough Community Association, we are delighted to be able to advertise this post for a Grants & Fundraising Administrator. At Camlough Community Association, our mission is to create a cohesive and integrated local community to enhance the lives of residents and visitors within our local area. Ultimately, we want to provide a common space for people of all ages to gather, socialise and enjoy the craic by completing the construction of our community centre which was approved for planning permission in 2022. Backed by an enthusiastic and dynamic management committee, the post holder will primarily be responsible for helping to develop a fundraising strategy for the association, identifying and mapping sources of grants and funding, engaging with residents, businesses and other stakeholders, and helping to plan and organise local events for the benefit of the local community. To successfully fulfil this role the candidate will need a full driving licence and be able to attend evening committee meetings in Camlough once a fortnight.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the committee in developing a long-term fundraising strategy for the Association.
  • Generate grant income to meet costs and targets outlined in the fundraising strategy.
  • Prospect research of new funding opportunities.
  • To support smaller clubs or groups affiliated with CCA in grant applications.
  • Play a proactive role in developing new fundraising campaigns and assist in their ongoing promotion.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with grant funders who are currently supporting the Association and developing new relationships with prospective funders.
  • Management of the preparation and submission of grant making applications.
  • Administrative duties as required to assist the committee in fulfilling constitutional obligations.
  • Assist in the planning, execution and evaluation of local events.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Willingness to learn and upskill.
  • Ability to build strong and collaborative relationships with both the committee team, colleagues and donors.
  • Ability to communicate empathetically with donors and supporters.
  • Able to demonstrate adaptability and innovation.

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with common IT programmes such as Word and Excel.
  • Ability to use email, social media & other CRM (Customer Management Software).
  • Experience of working with charities or voluntary groups.
