Seaview House Private Nursing Home is a 22-bed private nursing home located overlooking Ballyholme Bay in Bangor. We are currently looking for the right candidate to join our team as a Senior Health Care Assistant.

Responsibilities

• To support residents to achieve their best life in accordance with their care plans and wishes and to support and lead the care team in delivering best care in accordance with policies and best practice guidelines.
• To ensure all documentation is in place and completed to ensure the needs and safety of residents are met at all times and to report any concerns.
• To assist RNs to assess, plan and implement personalized care for each resident and keep individual residents’ care plans up to date and to inform and update the care team in a timely manner.
• To continually monitor residents’ mental status and cognitive abilities within the framework of their care plans, and report any concerns as immediately
• To assist with pre-admission assessments as required and to take ownership of ensuring bedrooms have passed all room checks prior to the admission of the resident.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent
• Previous elder care experience
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
