Warehouse Supervisor


Job description

Our client is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join their team based in Crossmaglen.

Responsibilities

  • The Warehouse Supervisor has full responsibility for the effective running of the warehouse ensuring finished goods are dispatched in a timely manner with the necessary paperwork completed.
  • Take ownership of warehouse and dispatch operations, ensuring accurate documentation, traceability, and system records for all goods movements, dispatch notes, and works order invoicing.
  • Lead stock control activities including inventory transfers, reconciliation, and rotation of ingredients and packaging in line with FIFO and site stock management procedures.
  • Ensure continuous supply of ingredients, packaging, pallets, and intermediate products to production and blending areas in line with the production plan.
  • Oversee goods-in and goods-out processes, verifying pallet IDs, batch codes, expiry dates, and quantities to maintain full traceability and accuracy.
  • Maintain compliance with BRC food safety and quality standards, ensuring correct storage and segregation of raw materials, packaging, allergens, and finished goods.
  • Take responsibility for warehouse, dispatch, and yard standards, ensuring cleaning schedules, waste management, and housekeeping are consistently maintained.
  • Coordinate safe and efficient yard operations, including pallet management, waste handling, vehicle movements, and pedestrian safety.
  • Prepare materials, stock transfers, and operational readiness for the next shift to ensure uninterrupted production.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience operating EPT or FLT.
  • Good planning and organizational skills and good attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience of stock taking, packaging, ingredients & finished goods, and adjusting variances.
  • IT skills to be able to use multiple systems
  • At least 1 year’s fork truck experience and valid licence (Counterbalance, Reach, and Pallet Truck);
  • A shunter licence.
