Job description
We are looking for full time or part time Catering Assistants to join our Aughnacloy team. You will help provide support to the Kitchen Supervisor in preparation and cooking of food for elderly residents. Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and cooking of meals. Stock ordering. Ensure hygiene procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain up to date working knowledge of all kitchen duties. Record food/equipment temperatures. Accurate record keeping adhering to company guidelines and legislation requirements.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions. Complete all paperwork accurately. Communicate regularly with the line manager.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures as laid down by the company. Adhere to all Health and Safety guidelines.
- Ensure the confidentiality of residents, colleagues and the company at all times. Work as part of a team. Provide a quality service at all times.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 1 year's kitchen experience to include basic food preparation, temperature control.
Desirable Skills
- Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
- Experience working within a hospital or Nursing Home environment.
Further Information
Work Time: Full time - 36 hours per week, 3 x 12hr shifts between Monday to Sunday. The working hours will be between 7am to 7pm. Part time - 18 hours per week, 3 X 6 hr shifts, 7am-1pm and/or 1pm to 7pm, between Monday to Sunday. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
