Job description

To assist with the management of the restaurant for the greatest enjoyment of guests and maximum profit contribution to the hotel. Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.

Responsibilities

• To manage and motivate employees through effective communication, training, and development, in accordance with company policies and relevant employment legislation, ensuring all procedures are followed to Hastings Standards.
• To receive payments for beverages sold and record drinks and goods sold to guests, in accordance with operating procedures.
• To use equipment and bar pumps efficiently, to maintain proper measures and ensure minimum wastage.
• To support General Manager with annual budgets, putting in place appropriate mechanisms to effectively manage costs and all factors relating to financial performance of the Bar, ensuring appropriate plans are created, communicated and implemented.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Strong operational bar experience. A good awareness of cash handling, stock control, stock ordering and budgeting.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service. Proven ability to lead a team to achieve success. Previous experience in hospitality.
• Right to Work in the United Kingdom. Excellent communication skills.

Desirable Skills

• Educated to GCSE standard or the equivalent with grades A-C in English and Maths. Educated to degree level in a relevant field such as Tourism and Hospitality Management.
• Previous experience as a manager in a high-quality establishment.
