Role Overview: As a Welder / Fabricator at Groundsman Industries Ltd, you will play a crucial role in manufacturing components with the utmost precision. You will work mainly with mild steel and Hardox 400 to produce high-quality welded and fabricated components. You will also have opportunities to weld aluminium for bespoke projects. The role requires close collaboration with our production and engineering teams to ensure products meet stringent specifications and quality standards. Experienced Mig Welder / Fabricator.

Responsibilities

• MIG welding on various metals.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to fabricate components accurately.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to maintain optimal workflows and meet project deadlines. Working with various sections, plate, laser cut and machined components 1-30 mm thick.
• Pipe and tube bending, Press forming and folding using jigs and fixtures.
• Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure all work meets industry and company standards. Follow safety guidelines and contribute to a safe working environment.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Time-served Welder or Fabricator (using MIG and TIG), with a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication / Welding or equivalent and proven experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately, strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, good communication skills to support collaboration within production.
