Job description

On behalf of our client, we are currently looking for HGV1 Drivers based in Mullusk. As an HGV Driver, once you’ve completed a successful assessment, your main responsibility will be to transport parcels and mail between depots within the Royal Mail Network. The role involves minimal manual labour, and shifts are scheduled a week in advance. We offer competitive pay rates, with a variety of start times and days to accommodate different preferences. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept any DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements. Due to the nature of our client's business, you will be required to clear a CRB security check following the point of registration.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive parcels and mail between Royal Mail depots.
• Ensure the HGV1 vehicle is in good condition and conduct pre-shift checks.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely deliveries.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Stay in contact with dispatch and colleagues to ensure smooth operations.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Have licence for over 2 years and no more than 5 penalty points.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
