Job description

To provide highly specialised knowledge and skills in the holistic assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients presenting with complex foot problems in hospital, community and other settings and maintain associated records. The postholder will help with the operational management of staff working in C&B area, ensuring equitable provision of the service in the Craigavon Locality. Responsibilities

• To support in the re-organisation and development of Podiatry Services and make recommendations to the Head of Service Podiatry for Acute Services to help address the Reform and Modernisation.
• Will also support the implementation of the objectives of the Podiatry Service and ensure the delivery of effective multidisciplinary working in partnership with internal and external agencies.
• To be able to carry out specialist interventions.
• To ensure the availability and assist in the provision of high-quality practice placements within the teams for Podiatry students and others as appropriate.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• BSc Honours Degree or Diploma in Chiropody/Podiatry with 3 years post registration experience at band 6 or equivalent.
• Registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience to include 3 years in the relevant specialist area.
• Experience in delivering objectives which have led to a significant improvement in service.
• Experience in working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders in a role which has contributed to the successful implementation of a significant change initiative.
