Job description

Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients with physical and learning disabilities and frail elderly, many of whom present with complex needs. Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients and determine independent clinical diagnosis and physiotherapy treatment indicated, maintaining records in accordance with professional standards.
• Make timely and effective decisions regarding physiotherapy recommendations to ensure quality care and facilitate discharge, including appropriate onward referrals.
• Participate in the development and review of service and professional standards.
• Provide advice based on acquired knowledge and skills and will use this to improve on patient / client care and to develop others.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy (or equivalent).
• Currently registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
• Minimum of 2 years post graduate clinical experience, to include at least 6 months experience working in the treatment and management of medical/ respiratory/ neurological patients.
