We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assistant on behalf of our client, Cranswick, based in Cullybackey. Monitoring and verification checks throughout the factory, including temperature, CCPs and pre-requisite requirements. Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and verification checks throughout the factory, including temperature, CCPs and pre-requisite requirements
• Accurately complete all required paperwork
• Verify production check sheets
• Butchery checks to ensure that product meets customer specifications
• Internal auditing
• Investigate non-conformances
• Verify completed investigation of non-conformances and customer complaints
• Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene rules in the factory environment
• Assess goods at intake to ensure they meet specification
• Assist in preparation for customer visits, third party and internal audits
• Any other duties within the competency of the job as directed by management

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Understanding of HACCP and BRC quality management systems
• Understanding of red meat sector
• A proactive mindset and willingness to learn
• Strong attention to details and organisation skills

Desirable Skills

• Experience in QA/QC or GMP environment
