Responsibilities

  • Lead Inspires’ Mental Health & Addiction Services adopting a model of best practice for Mental Health and Addiction.
  • Support the strategic development of Inspire Mental Health & Addiction Services, in accordance with the objectives, vision and values of the organisation.
  • Monitor and review strategy on a regular basis and report to the Group Director of Care (Mental Health & Addiction Services) and Support on progress towards the strategic priorities, be accountable for the results.
  • Ensure delivery of objectives and key performance targets for Inspire Mental Health & Addiction Services.
  • Ensure Inspires’ vision and values are embedded within your area of responsibility.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • A qualification in either Social Work, Nursing or Allied Health profession OR QCF Level 5 or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management position with at least 3 years’ in an influential leadership position in a Health and Social Care area.
  • Demonstrable experience of service development and service improvement.
  • Responsibility for managing a budget for delivery of a service or a department.
  • Thorough working knowledge of governance obligations and systems.
  • Experience of direct line management with well-developed people management skills.
  • Experience of negotiating with statutory bodies at operational and strategic levels.
  • Experience of using Microsoft packages to include Microsoft outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge and Understanding of Regulatory Bodies within the Health & Social Care.
  • To be flexible as the role will involve working at various locations.
  • Possess a full current driving licence, business insurance and access to a car. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a driver’s licence.
