Job description

We are now seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our expanding commercial team. This role will play a key part in the front-end development of major electrical infrastructure projects, including data centres, battery storage, substations and ICP works. We have expanded to deliver projects across the UK, Ireland and Europe, with exciting active sites in Belgium, Germany, Sweden and Denmark. The role will play a pivotal role in winning work that directly fuels our growth, producing accurate, commercially sound and competitive estimates that stand up in some of the most challenging and fast-moving infrastructure markets in Europe. Working closely with commercial and project delivery teams, this role will help turn complex technical requirements into winning bids, ensuring every submission is commercially robust, technically accurate and strategically positioned to succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of preparing detailed and competitive cost estimates for major electrical infrastructure projects
  • Break down complex tender documentation into clear, buildable and commercially sound pricing models
  • Develop labour, materials, plant, subcontract and preliminaries cost plans with accuracy and confidence
  • Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive and compliant quotations
  • Identify risks, opportunities and value engineering options that strengthen bid position
  • Work collaboratively with project and site teams to ensure technical alignment and buildability
  • Help shape winning bid strategies and contribute to tender review and settlement meetings
  • Support smooth handover of successful bids into the delivery team, ensuring clarity and confidence from day one
  • Maintain and develop cost databases, benchmarking tools and estimating knowledge across the business
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in how we estimate, compete and win work across Europe

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Experience as an Electrical Estimator within the M&E or electrical infrastructure sector
  • Experience pricing infrastructure projects such as data centres, substations, ICP or utilities schemes
  • Strong commercial instinct with the ability to interpret technical information and turn it into accurate pricing
  • Confident working with drawings, specifications and complex tender documentation
  • Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and commercial teams
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven tender environment where no two days are the same

Salary: Up to £65,000 per year, to be confirmed.
