SPPG Business Support Officer Inquiries Team


Job description

Public Inquiries are established and conducted under the Inquiries Act 2005 and Inquiries Rules 2006. Northern Ireland faced a unique position in that it had four Public Inquiries running concurrently, namely The Infected Blood Inquiry (commenced 2018), The Muckamore Abbey Hospital Inquiry (commenced 2021), The Urology Services Inquiry (commenced 2021), and the UK Covid-19 Inquiry (commenced 2022). The Strategic Planning and Performance Group (SPPG) is required to provide time bound responses to each of these Inquiries by way of document disclosures, written statement submissions, and through oral hearings in accordance with the relevant Inquiry’s protocols.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • A university degree or recognised professional qualification or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years management experience.
