Job description

Community Care Assistants provide personal care and assistance to service users in their own homes in accordance with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council Standards of Conduct and Practice 2015.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with showering, bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, and hair care.
• Prompting or assisting with medication, monitoring health conditions.
• Helping clients move around their home, getting in/out of bed, and using mobility aids.
• Preparing meals, snacks, and drinks, as well as assisting with feeding if necessary.
• Light cleaning, laundry, ironing, bed making, and disposing of waste.
• Providing companionship, chatting, and helping with social activities or shopping.
• Updating care plans, recording daily activities, and reporting any changes in a client's condition to senior staff.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Must have a clean driving licence and access to a car for business purposes.
