The Therapeutic Practitioner will provide integrated, person-centred support to young people aged 16-25 who are experiencing housing instability alongside mental health and emotional wellbeing needs. Responsibilities
- Provide structured, time-limited one-to-one therapeutic support to young people experiencing difficulties such as low mood, anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, self-harm, suicidal ideation, or psychological distress
- Use recognised tools such as CORE-10, PHQ-9, and GAD-7 to inform assessment, track progress, and support outcomes-focused practice.
- Support young people to develop self-awareness, coping strategies, and emotional regulation skills, promoting long-term resilience.
- Deliver structured group interventions, including psychoeducation, wellbeing, and resilience-building programmes to reduce isolation and improve social connection.
- Support young people to understand the relationship between housing instability, transitions, and mental health.
- Maintain clear professional and therapeutic boundaries, working within a defined scope of practice and referring to specialist services where required.
