Job description

The Therapeutic Practitioner will provide integrated, person-centred support to young people aged 16-25 who are experiencing housing instability alongside mental health and emotional wellbeing needs. If you can assist young people to build independence, improve their mental health and access and sustain accommodation using a holistic, trauma-informed approach, please consider applying today.

Responsibilities

• Provide structured, time-limited one-to-one therapeutic support to young people experiencing difficulties such as low mood, anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, self-harm, suicidal ideation, or psychological distress
• Use recognised tools such as CORE-10, PHQ-9, and GAD-7 to inform assessment, track progress, and support outcomes-focused practice.
• Support young people to develop self-awareness, coping strategies, and emotional regulation skills, promoting long-term resilience.
• Deliver structured group interventions, including psychoeducation, wellbeing, and resilience-building programmes to reduce isolation and improve social connection.
• Support young people to understand the relationship between housing instability, transitions, and mental health.
• Maintain clear professional and therapeutic boundaries, working within a defined scope of practice and referring to specialist services where required.
