Job description

The post holder will be responsible for the operational management and delivery of mental health services in the following Care Delivery Services: Forensic Mental Health Inpatient Services Shannon Clinic Regional Service. Community Forensic Mental Health service for BHSCT & SET. Inpatient Rehabilitation Ward. Dementia Assessment and Treatment ward. (Portfolio’s can be subject to change) The post holder, in partnership with the Clinical Director for the service will be responsible for leading the service, ensuring services are of a high quality and fully meet exacting professional regulation and governance standards. A key aspect of this post will be ensuring that services for individuals with mental illness are provided in a Recovery framework that promotes human rights and social inclusion. The Service Manager will work in partnership with the Collective Leadership Team. The postholder will be a member of the Senior Management Team for mental Health Services proactively contributing to and informing strategic planning and decision making.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• A University degree or relevant professional qualification & worked for a least 2 years in the last 5 years in a senior management role in a major complex organisation.

Desirable Skills

• Recent experience in Adult Mental Health Services
