Job description

This service provides nursing care to a growing number of clients with complex health care needs in the community. Procedures will include suctioning, ventilation,tracheostomy care, Naso Gastric/Peg feeding and other procedures to maintain/improve health. The service will be community based to assess, plan and implement all appropriate interventions to deliver specialist nursing care in response to individualised assessed need. The postholder will be expected to carry out all care duties delegated from the Team Manager (Band 7 Nurse) and may ultimately be required to demonstrate procedures to and supervise other qualified/unqualified staff.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Be currently registered as a Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC live register. (Adult or Learning Disability)

Desirable Skills

• Previous Complex Health Care Experience.
