Stores Co-ordinator
Job description
The Stores Co-ordinator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient everyday running of a busy Stores environment. We are keen to recruit someone who is organised, highly motivated, takes pride in their work and wants to bring structure and control to the role.
Responsibilities
- Unloading, checking and receipting supplier deliveries
- Picking, booking out and checking customer orders
- Picking and booking out material orders for electricians on site
- Input of stock issue sheets onto the system (weekly)
- Booking out of plant and machinery
- Researching and preparing quotations for contract managers and customers
- Purchase ordering for contract managers as required
- Operating the Fork Lift Truck and completing shared Fork Lift Truck weekly inspections
- Trade counter duties
- Answering & responding to telephone and email communications
- Maintaining a clean & safe working warehouse environment
- Weekly stock cycle count duties
- Managing stock levels and reporting all stock discrepancies, damages and adjustments appropriately
- Buying product to include negotiating prices from multiple sources
- Available to assist in the annual stock take
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above. Essential Skills Level 2 in application of number (Maths) and Communication (English) is equivalent to these GCSE requirements
- Excellent organisational skills
- Must be physically able to deal with regular moving and lifting of sometimes bulky and relatively sized items
- Computer literate - knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work alone and in a team environment
Desirable Skills
- Has a minimum of one year's customer service experience in a busy, demanding retail / customer facing environment
- Has a sound general knowledge of electrical products / components
- Holds a valid Fork Lift Truck Licence
