Stores Co-ordinator


Job description

The Stores Co-ordinator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient everyday running of a busy Stores environment. We are keen to recruit someone who is organised, highly motivated, takes pride in their work and wants to bring structure and control to the role.

Responsibilities

  • Unloading, checking and receipting supplier deliveries
  • Picking, booking out and checking customer orders
  • Picking and booking out material orders for electricians on site
  • Input of stock issue sheets onto the system (weekly)
  • Booking out of plant and machinery
  • Researching and preparing quotations for contract managers and customers
  • Purchase ordering for contract managers as required
  • Operating the Fork Lift Truck and completing shared Fork Lift Truck weekly inspections
  • Trade counter duties
  • Answering & responding to telephone and email communications
  • Maintaining a clean & safe working warehouse environment
  • Weekly stock cycle count duties
  • Managing stock levels and reporting all stock discrepancies, damages and adjustments appropriately
  • Buying product to include negotiating prices from multiple sources
  • Available to assist in the annual stock take

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above. Essential Skills Level 2 in application of number (Maths) and Communication (English) is equivalent to these GCSE requirements
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Must be physically able to deal with regular moving and lifting of sometimes bulky and relatively sized items
  • Computer literate - knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work alone and in a team environment

Desirable Skills

  • Has a minimum of one year's customer service experience in a busy, demanding retail / customer facing environment
  • Has a sound general knowledge of electrical products / components
  • Holds a valid Fork Lift Truck Licence
