Job description
We are looking for an experienced and motivated HR Officer to join our care home team in a stand alone capacity. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HR professional who enjoys working independently and making a real impact. You will take full responsibility for delivering a high quality HR service, supporting managers and staff across all aspects of people management in a fast-paced, rewarding care environment. Providing day-to-day HR advice and support to managers. Managing employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, and absence. Leading the full recruitment process from advertising to on-boarding. Ensuring all pre-employment checks are completed in line with regulations. Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation. Supporting training, development, and employee engagement initiatives. Liaising with payroll to ensure accurate processing. Ensuring compliances with Northern Ireland employment legislation. Producing HR reports and tracing key people metrics.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers on policies, procedures, and best practice.
- Act as the first point of contact for all employee relations matters.
- Ensure HR policies are implemented consistently across the home.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Third- level qualification in HR, Business, or related discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) or equivalent HR qualification.
- Strong knowledge of Northern Ireland employment legislation.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in employee relations, experience in recruitment and onboarding process.
- IT skills, excellent communication and organisation skills, and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
