Nurse Practitioner CAMHS Band 6
Job description
As a member of the CAMHS multi disciplinary team the post holder will be responsible for providing highly skilled and specialist interventions on both an individual and group basis using appropriate techniques and knowledge through experience, self development and evidence based practice. The post holder will work autonomously in carrying out therapeutic work based on clear theoretical concepts and the application of related techniques and will be responsible for providing assessment, case management and intervention to children adolescents and their families carers referred to the service. The post holder will be expected to provide clinical supervision to nursing colleagues, nursing students and work alongside CAMHS management team.
Responsibilities
- To participate as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team in case discussions.
- He/she will be responsible for coordinating the care and assessment of a designated caseload, to function as a key worker. The post holder will support the CAMHS referral coordinator as and when necessary.
- They will ensure that a high quality, timely, accessible and evidence based service is available to young people and families in receipt of the Service.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Current Level 1 Registered Nurse Mental Health on the live NMC Register.
- 2 years post registration experience.

Desirable Skills
- Experience in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health setting.
- Post registration training in working with children, adolescents and their families.
Further Information
Whilst the position is primarily Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, the post holder will be required to participate in the CAMHS out of hours rota as per service needs.
