Job description

Under the direction of the Staff Member in charge the post holder will assist other staff with the provision of care and practice to meet the needs of residents ensuring that all policies and procedures in operation are implemented and that the highest standards are achieved and maintained. Previous Experience required. NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

Responsibilities

• Caring duties including washing, dressing, shaving, mouth care, showering, bathing, hoisting, repositioning, feeding and toileting.
• Kitchen, domestic and laundry duties as required.
• Answering buzzers.
• Documenting of all necessary practices.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Previous care home experience required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
