Mental Health Nurse Clinical Lead
Job description
The post holder will be responsible for delivering skilled evidence based interventions to service users and carers/families with challenging complex needs and/or who present high levels of risk. The post holder will assist in supervision and will supervise and develop members of lower band staff and will provide mentorship to students. The post holder will have a professional leadership responsibility for nursing staff within community mental health, including revalidation, updating EIMS mentorship and providing support to mentors. The post holder will assist in the on-going development of the service including the management of nurse supervision to ensure the delivery of performance management objectives and governance requirements. The post holder will be expected to provide cover for colleagues and deputise for the team leader care co-ordinator. The focus of future mental health services will be based on the delivery of a comprehensive range of services, provided within a stepped care model that ensures that people with a mental health need receive services that are underpinned by the principle of recovery and aimed at achieving and maintaining the maximum level of functioning, independence, social inclusion. Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Have two years' continuous experience at Band 6 or above in an adult mental health setting.
