Quality Inspector (Manufacturing)

Reporting to the Quality Lead, you will be responsible for supporting both customers and internal teams, ensuring quality standards are maintained, resolving issues effectively and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to customers and production teams on all quality related matters.
  • Manage the product approval process, including FAIR validation and associated audits.
  • Proactively identify, drive, and monitor corrective and preventive actions for internal and external quality issues.
  • Oversee the MRB (Material Review Board) process for returned goods.
  • Conduct product and process audits to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Contribute to New Product and Process Development (NPPD) activities.
  • Support the development, implementation, and auditing of the Quality Management System.
  • Ensure all products meet required quality sign off criteria and implement containment measures where non conformances occur.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to both fabrication and assembly.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and industry standard problem solving techniques.
  • Ability to apply statistical methods for fault identification and technical issue resolution.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Previous experience in a quality focused role.

Further Information

About this role: £Negotiable salary. Monday to Friday (Option to compress working hours into 4 days a week). 39.75 hours a week. Permanent role.
