Job description
The Resort has a number of bedrooms including suites, deluxe and superior rooms. We also have self-accommodation in the form of riverside cabins, cottage suites, and shepherd's huts set on the grounds as well as our private residencies Red Oaks, Charles Lanyon Lodge, and Linen Merchants. As Housekeeping Assistant, you will join a dedicated hard-working team and ensure all hotel accommodation is clean and tidy and ready for our guests. The successful applicant will have a hard-working attitude, enjoy working as part of a team, and have a keen eye for detail. If you think you have what we are looking for please get in touch. Transport: We offer a staff bus that picks you at various stops throughout Ballymena, there is also a return bus.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and servicing the Resort as directed by Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Manager.
- Complete tasks such as making beds, changing linens, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures plus a variety of other cleaning tasks.
- Using disinfectants and steam-operated sterilizers.
- Adhering to all safety and personal protective equipment, practices, and procedures.
- Working within the guidelines of Health, Safety, Fire, and Hygiene operatives to ensure all staff and guests are safe at all times.
- Maintaining clear, efficient communication with the front desk team ensuring rooms and public areas are serviced in a timely fashion ready for our hotel guests.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Must have excellent attention to detail.
- Work well under pressure and be an excellent team player.
Desirable Skills
- Previous hospitality experience.
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience.
