Responsibilities

• To cook and follow SLT guidelines for a 21 bed residential home for learning disabilities and mental health.
• Prepare and serve meals that meet nutritional and safety standards.
• Kitchen duties to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Maintain food safety protocols and hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to meet individual dietary needs.
• Paperwork, menu choices, cleaning, stock rotation and food ordering.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles.
• The candidate should hold at least the basic food hygiene certificate.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
• Excellent communication skills.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience working with LD and mental health.

Further Information

Part time or full time hours available, this will be discussed with the employer. Catering for a 21 bed residential care home. Experience preferred but not essential, full training and mentoring will be provided.
