Job description

In line with operational procedures and instructions, this role will ensure that an ongoing programme of cleaning including surfaces and spillages will be carried out on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all housekeeping activities and all Health & safety procedures
• Vacuum, sweep and wash floors
• Wipe down walls and ceilings
• Ensure machines are inspected, cleaned and sanitised
• Ensure bags are removed from working areas as required
• Make sure stairwells are cleaned and remain free from debris
• Cleaning records are completed and maintained at all times
• Dry and wet waste is disposed off
• Faults on machinery are reported to the Warehouse Operations Manager or Shift Team Leader
• Spillages are reported to the Warehouse Operations Manager or Shift Team Leader and cleaned as required
• Any other duties are carried out as appropriate

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Knowledge of Manual handling and COSHH regulations
• Cleaning Factory Mill experience would be beneficial but not essential
