Oven and Appliance Technician

The Oven & Appliance Cleaning Company is a well-established and growing business providing professional oven and appliance cleaning services across Northern Ireland. We are currently recruiting for a full-time Oven & Appliance Cleaning Technician to join our team. This is a field-based, van-based role, where you will start and finish your working day from home and travel to customers’ properties to carry out appliance cleaning services. All appointments are scheduled and organised by our office team, allowing you to work independently in the field while focusing on delivering a high standard of work and customer service. Full training is provided, and no prior experience in oven cleaning is required. This role is well suited to someone practical and comfortable working on their own.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out professional cleaning of ovens & domestic appliances.
  • Deliver a high standard of workmanship.
  • Travel to customer appointments using company vehicle.
  • Represent the company professionally.
  • Communicate with the office.
  • Maintain cleanliness & organisation of tools, equipment & vehicle.
  • Follow company procedures, training and health & safety guidelines.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience, encouraging repeat business & referrals.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role.
  • Good communication & customer service skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience in cleaning, valeting or a similar hands-on role.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently & manage time effectively in a mobile role.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative.
  • Experience working independently or in a field-based role.
  • Basic understanding of health & safety practices.
  • Confidence working alone in customers’ homes
  • Good time management & reliability.
  • Practical and hands-on approach to work.
  • Professional & polite manner when dealing with customers.

Further Information

This is a full-time, long-term position within a growing, established business. The role offers a high level of independence, with technicians working on their own in a structured and well-supported environment. All work is scheduled in advance by our office team, allowing you to focus on delivering a high standard of work without the need for selling or sourcing customers. Full training is provided, and ongoing support will be available as you become established in the role. Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be comfortable working independently, travelling between jobs, and working in customers’ homes. We are looking for someone reliable and professional who is interested in a stable, long-term role, rather than short-term or temporary work. We are seeking someone committed to a long-term role within the business, with opportunities to grow as the company continues to expand.
