Job description

We are looking for a cafe all-rounder to join our team. You will be making coffees, serving customers, preparing and serving food helping assist kitchen in cooking breakfasts on hot plate. keeping cafe cleaned and organised, putting deliveries away, checking stock, and helping cafe run smoothly day to day.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers.
• Taking orders and handling payments accurately.
• Cooking alongside kitchen team for breakfasts. Following daily weekly cleaning schedule.
• Delivering food and drinks to tables. Preparing high quality coffees and food.
• Handling tasks calmly in fast paced environment. Working a few Saturdays a month.
• Helping with extra cover during annual leave time.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Worked in hospitality previously.
• Willing to learn and help in all areas of cafe.
• Good awareness of cleanliness and food hygiene.
• Flexible to take on a variety of tasks.

Desirable Skills

• Have worked previously in kitchen before.
• Barista skills not essential as we can provide training.
• Experience using a till and handling payments.
• Previous cafe experience.

Further Information

Work Time: 33 hours per week, 7:30am / 7:45am - 2:30pm or 10:30am - 4:30pm, over 5 days, to be confirmed. We are a family run cafe where everyone works closely as a team and supports each other day to day. You receive one free coffee and lunch every shift, and the opportunity to be creative by contributing ideas to our breakfast and lunch menu.
