Are you ready to be part of something new and exciting? Barnardo's is thrilled to introduce our newest service, The Whistlestop, a residential short breaks home in Randalstown. We are looking for experienced and motivated professionals to join our brand new team of Residential Childcare Workers. Do you have the following: Experience of working with children and young people? Experience of working within safeguarding policy and procedures? A full driving licence with business class insurance or be able to demonstrate how you meet the mobility requirements of the role? Could this be the next step in your career path?
Responsibilities
- You will play a valuable role at the centre of our team in supporting and caring for children and young people accessing the service.
- Your time will be spent working closely with the children, ensuring they have a safe and enjoyable experience during their stay with us.
- Part of the role will include sleep-ins and waking night shifts, so this will be something you can embrace and bring energy to.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Experience of working with children and young people (does not have to be gained in a formal employment setting).
- Experience of working within safeguarding policy and procedures.
- Experience of record keeping.
