Job description

In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality support to individuals with complex needs. Working alongside the Behaviour Specialist, multidisciplinary team, and wider staff group, you will contribute to the implementation of person-centred care plans, behavioural strategies, and risk management approaches. Support day-to-day care and routines.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living activities, encourage independence, assist with emotional regulation, and help maintain a safe, calm, and positive environment.
• Contribute to incident management and reflective practice.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Support the effective running of the service.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Support Worker or in a similar care role.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
• Willingness to complete all mandatory training (e-learning and face-to-face).
• Attentive listeners, able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Well-organised and adaptable, able to manage workload and respond to challenges.

Desirable Skills

• Qualification in Health & Social Care or a related field.
• Understanding of Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Mental Health needs. Awareness of Positive Behaviour Support approaches.
