Job description
This is a leadership role where you will play a central part in overseeing the day-to-day delivery of care. You will provide first-line supervision and support to a team of Positive Behaviour Support Workers, leading by example and promoting high standards of practice at all times. You will contribute to staff development, support the implementation of care plans and risk management strategies, and ensure that our values and quality standards are consistently upheld across the service. Working closely with the Behaviour Specialist, care team, and wider multidisciplinary professionals, you will help deliver safe, effective, and truly person-centred support for residents. You will also benefit from a comprehensive induction, specialist training, and ongoing support from an experienced Behaviour Specialist, Registered Manager, and Senior Management Team.
Responsibilities
- This role involves supporting adults with Learning Disabilities.
- Mental Health needs.
- Behaviours of concern.
- Complex presentations.
- Supporting adults with Autism.
- Deliver structured, person-centred daily support.
- Lead and coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies.
- Support the safe, effective, and smooth running of the home.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- We are seeking individuals who:
- Option 1 - Degree in Health and Social Care or a related field - Social work, Nursing, Psychology or Occupational Therapy, AND,
- Minimum of 1 Years paid experience supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and Behaviours that challenge, OR,
- Option 2 - Minimum of 3 years’ paid experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs, and behaviours that challenge, AND,
- Experience overseeing day-to-day care delivery within a residential or nursing setting.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Can motivate, guide, and support colleagues effectively.
- Have experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and families.
- Possess a solid understanding of safeguarding and risk management.
- Are confident in care planning, transitions, and developing personalised support schedules.
- Have excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Communicate clearly, confidently, and with compassion.
- Are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
Desirable Skills
- CPI Safety Intervention / MAPA training - Full training provided
