Job description
The post holder carries continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, standards setting within the department and will be responsible for the deployment, supervision and teaching of students and other staff. The post holder is accountable for their Ward or Department and will: Promote and monitor safe and effective practice. Enhance the patient / client experience. Provide effective leadership and management. Contribute to the delivery of the organisations strategies and objectives. The post holder will promote and support effective team working, fostering a culture of openness and transparency. The post holder will ensure that they take all concerns raised with them seriously and act in accordance with: The Code (NMC 2018) particularly sections 16 and 17, as well as the Employer’s Raising Concerns Policy.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Registered Nurse on Part 1, level 1 of the live NMC Register (Adult Branch).

Desirable Skills
- Have obtained a Post-Graduate Diploma or equivalent qualification i.e. Specialist Practice Course or stand-alone Module relevant to Cardiology or be willing to undertake the same.
