The Clinical Practice Facilitator Band 7 is responsible for co-ordinating the personal and professional development of all midwives and nursing staff within the Maternity Department.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for promoting best practice through staff development and education ensuring optimal patient outcomes
• Ensure that the educational/learning opportunities are reflective of the needs of the midwife and needs of the service
• Develop and in partnership with others provide educational programmes to the registered/non registered staff within the maternity service Trust wide
• Contribute to developments in the Trust’s nursing and midwifery education, learning and development framework

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Registered Midwife on the live NMC Register.
• 1 year's experience as a mentor.

Desirable Skills

• Experience of undertaking training sessions in clinical midwifery skills.
• Experience of initiating a project or change in clinical practice

Further Information

Location: Altnagelvin Hospital. Salary: £47,810 - £54,710 per annum, pro rata.
