Deputy Sister / Charge Nurse Band 6 based in Enniskillen.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that confidentiality is maintained at all times.
• To establish agreed and realistic objectives for the unit and the setting of goals to achieve same.
• To assist the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse in the smooth and effective management of the ward.
• To provide leadership and direction for staff within the ward/department to promote the delivery of safe and effective care.
• In the absence of the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse to be responsible for the effective management of the ward.
• To support the professional development of nursing staff.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Level 1 Registered Nurse (Adult) on the live NMC Register.
• 2 years post registration experience working in an acute medical setting.
