Job description

The post holder will work as part of the endoscopy team providing management responsibility for the team on a day to day basis. The post holder will promote effective team work and support staff to deliver high quality, individualised care for all endoscopy patients. Responsibilities

• Assist the Endoscopy Unit Manager to coordinate the endoscopy lists and manage staff on a daily basis to ensure the safe delivery of the service for all patients.
• In the absence of the Unit Manager, they will carry out management responsibility for the Department.
• Liaise with the Unit Manager on requirements for duty rotas and annual leave.
• Deploy/allocate staff appropriately to ensure the most effective and efficient use of human resources to support the service.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Registered nurse on Part 1 or Part 12 of the NMC Register.
• 2 years post registration experience of which one year in Endoscopy.

Desirable Skills

• Additional experience relevant to the post. ENB 906 or Short Course in Endoscopy and related procedures.
