This post provides specialist nursing clinical care and support within the Urogynaecology service.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Urogynaecology consultants and immediate members of the gynaecology team to perform urodynamic diagnostics at their nurse Led clinic.
• The post holder will provide Nurse led specialist Urogynaecology services for women with pelvic floor and bladder dysfunction alongside the existing Urogynaecology multidisciplinary team.
• Develop and maintain clinical expertise in all aspects of care for Urogynaecology patients.
• Together with the Gynaecology Consultants and primary care effectively co-ordinate and deliver an expert nursing service within the specialist area.
• They will manage their own nurse-led outpatient clinic including vaginal pessary patient education, urodynamic diagnostic and in collaboration with the Urogynaecology team advise on appropriate care pathways.
• Ensure a positive impact on the experience of patients and carers.
• Develop evidence based clinical nursing practice in line with current research and guidelines for shared learning.
• The post holder will demonstrate person centered care by role modelling this approach in their own practice.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Registered Nurse on Part 1 (Adult) of the NMC Register.
• 2 years’ post registration experience including 1 year within women’s health services.

Desirable Skills

• Recognised Urodynamics course or willing to undertake training within one year of appointment.

Further Information

Location: Western Trust Area - To be confirmed on appointment. Salary: £38,682 - £46,580 per annum, pro rata.
