Job description

The overall purpose of the role is to support Cleaning Service Locality Manager and Senior Cleaning Team in the delivery of a high quality cleaning service which provides value for money, supports the delivery of Departmental policy and is consistent and integrated in approach across all areas of the EA.

Responsibilities

• Line management responsibility for the supervision and direction of cleaning supervisors across a multi-site cleaning service.
• Allocate work areas to cleaners and building/cleaning supervisors to ensure the delivery of a quality service.
• Participate in the recruitment and selection of permanent and temporary cleaning staff.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Hold an HNC/HND or above examination qualification and have one years’ demonstrable experience in the delivery of a multi-site cleaning or similar operational service Or,
• Have three years’ demonstrable experience in the delivery of a multi-site cleaning or similar operational service.
• Demonstrable experience of engaging a wide range of stakeholders to support the delivery of an operational service to ensure a customer centric approach.
• Demonstrable experience in identifying training needs and the delivery of training programmes.
• Demonstrable experience of staff management processes.
• Demonstrable experience in the use of computer packages, to include use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in the management of human and/or financial resources across multi-site locations.

There is one post available based in Locality East to cover Newry, Mourne, Down and North Down area.
