We are currently seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor Junior Quantity Surveyor to join the team at McCrory Access. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long term role within a busy, well established, and growing scaffolding company. The successful candidate will gain valuable hands on experience, working closely with an experienced commercial and operational team across a range of live projects. You will have the opportunity to develop your technical and commercial skills in a fast moving industry, with full support and mentoring provided within your role. Essential Preferred Qualifications Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Economics, or a related construction discipline

Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic measurement and pricing of works, support cost tracking and daywork records, work with site and office teams, and maintain accurate commercial documentation.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Basic understanding of construction, good numerical and organisational skills, clear communication, ability to work in a team, competent with Excel and MS Office, good attention to detail, willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office. .
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good understanding of construction processes.
  • Degree qualified or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Construction Management. Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within a fast paced scaffolding or construction environment.
  • Ability to work closely with commercial, operational, and site teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
  • Previous construction or site experience is beneficial but not essential.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous construction or site experience, basic knowledge of scaffolding or access works, familiarity with drawings, experience in a site or office environment, awareness of health and safety practices.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
